Tooth Extractions
A tooth extraction can be performed for a variety of reasons, including:
- Extensive decay
- Cracked teeth
- Impacted teeth
- Braces treatment to relieve overcrowding
- To fit dentures
- To remove loose teeth to prevent infection
- Periodontal disease
Simple tooth extractions are a common procedure, and are performed at Cinnaminson Smiles office by the dentist. More complex extractions may be referred to an oral surgeon.
This procedure will be done under a local anesthetic to prevent the patient from feeling any pain during the extraction. Mouth soreness may last for a few days, but generally a simple extraction is not a very painful recovery.
Post-operative instructions are given to each patient.
